CASCADE FLORIST FLOWERS OF 495 New Rochelle Rd Phone: 914-761-7766
Email: cascadeflorists@aol.com Cascade
Florist is a REAL FLORIST and FAMILY OWNED and
OPERATED for over the past 39 years and since 1969 when we opened our first
shop in Both
John and Linda Torpey remain INDEPENDENT BUSINESS OWNERS and we are
both REAL FLORISTS versus FLORAL
ORDER GATHERER MIDDLEMEN, NON LOCAL PHONIES, or SUBCONTRACTED VENDORS. Too
many of today's floral consumers are lured and duped into contacting 800 FLORAL, DOT.CON MIDDLEMEN, and NON
LOCAL PHONIES phones and websites by disappearing discounts, only to have
their order subcontracted out to an invisible third party florist willing to
work at a severe discount of 30% or more. What
you need to know is that; A MIDDLEMAN'S
STEALTH is a DANGER TO YOUR WEALTH,
more or less. They get MORE of your
money while your INTENDED RECIPIENT gets LESS OF YOUR GIFT. HOW
THEIR SCAM WORKS: When you place your
floral order through a THIRD PARTY
MIDDLEMAN, they collect the full amount of your order, their $12.99 service
charge, and the appropriate sales tax. Then, they FARM OUT YOUR ORDER via
another network who pays them a $4 rebate per order. At
that point, your order winds up in the hands of a THIRD PARTY INVISABLE FLORIST
who FILLS
YOUR ORDER at a discount of 30% or more while only getting paid SEVENTY
CENTS or less from your original dollar. Supposing
that, you spent $50.00 on your floral gift plus their $12.99 service charge, the
filling florist (the one who does all your work), would only get $35.00 to fill
your order while deducting their $10.00 cost of delivering it. In the
end, YOU THE CONSUMER would wind up spending $60.99 plus tax while only getting
a gift worth $25.00 after having paid all those THIRD PARTY MIDDLEMAN COMMISSIONS along with THEIR OTHER ADDED FEES. Cascade Florists deplore these MIDDLEMEN, their PARTNERS, and the
supposed discounts to you, which are actually deducted from your total gift in
the end. Accordingly, we severed our ties with FTD beginning in January of 2004
after being a member since 1970 because, ALL THE RISK (losses) WAS WITH THEIR
FLORISTS when filling YOUR orders at discounts of 30% and more. That
new FOR PROFIT company, which was once MEMBER OWNED and OPERATED from 1910 until 1993 when
the members were forced to sell it, chose to go into DIRECT COMPETITION with ITS OWN
MEMBERS while capturing your 100% consumer sale and then, trying to subcontract
it back to us at only seventy cents from YOUR ORIGINAL DOLLAR.
Suffice it to say that, we would not, nor could not, operate under their
ridiculous terms. Cascade
is proud to be a member of the Retail
Florist's Association (RFA) as well as the Independent Florist's Association (IFA). Our membership allows Cascade to transfer
your floral orders between Cities and States we do not deliver to, as well as
other Foreign Countries. Since we now
deal with OTHER INDEPENDENT REAL FLORISTS TOO and NOT THROUGH THOSE THIRD
PARTY MIDDLEMEN, our relationship is built upon integrity with the other
PROFESSIONALS who fill our orders as they would for their own customers and at 100% FULL VALUE. Our
MIDDLEMAN WARNING also applies to many Caterers, all Bridal Consultants, and
even some unscrupulous
funeral directors and conglomerate funeral home national chains which are no longer FAMILY OWNED. In fact, you might even see a former owner's familier face but, they are now under contract by the national FOR PROFIT comglomerate which now owns that funeral home .
Many of them demand a commission (kick back) of from 20% to 30% from a contracted dishonest
florist who either adds it to your price or simply gives you less flowers. Your
solution to avoid getting scammed
by MIDDLEMEN and NON LOCAL PHONIES is simple! NEED REAL FLOWERS? CONTACT A REAL FLORIST! And learn to AVOID THE NON LOCAL PHONIES who
pay to pop up on the search engines by demanding to VIEW THEIR LOCAL ADDRESS!
They could be as far away as And,
